I was extremely psyched when I first heard that BC were coming back, but this album wasn't as good as I had hoped. It has its moments (especially "Feed The Fire" and "No Time To Run") but has quite a few clinkers. If you can find it used, have at it, but their older albums were SO much better.

I partially agree with MetalGeek. I was very excited to buy this CD and rushed home to play it. And while I like it, it isn't the same as the older records. It is still definitely the BC sound and heavyness. But still something lacks. I don't find any "clinkers" on this one, but no real special songs here either. Check out Atomic Arena for the best BC music.

On the opposite side, this was my first listening of Barren Cross. After a few listens, I loved it. Granted its not their stuff from the 80's, but its still heavy metal enough. My fave songs are NO TIME TO RUN, YOUR WILL, HERE I AM, SOMWHERE FAR AWAY, LET IT GO, LET IT DIE. Get this album if you like 90's metal...

This album is good. Hey, at least they kept their original sound and didn't try to modernize it. Midnight Son is one of the best tunes on the album. kevensyle@netscape.net

Barren Cross re-unites - &, shows why they should've stayed broken up. After hearing "Rock for the King", I was excited to get this one. Whew, this CD sucked! I gave it one listen and traded it in. "Let It Go, Let It Die" is okay, as is "No Time to Run". "Un-sus-pec-ting" is hor-ri-ble. Too many cooks spoiled the broth on this one with EVEN THE DRUMMER writing a song. C'mon! BC can't seem to figure out here what kind of band it is anymore. Sad, since it put out some good stuff.

What a great album. Mike Lee is at his finest. Its not a commercial metal album, but a great power metal disc

I've been a Barren Cross fan since they released RFTK. Although RYC is not as awesome as their earlier stuff, I still believe that Barren Cross can do no wrong.

Certainly not a bad disc, but I think it lacks some of the power that earliar BC records had.

...Oh, and "Somewhere far away" should have been much longer, I think that could have been a really rad ballad type song if they added maybe another minute or so...okay thats all I had to say.
