For Jamie's first album with Guardian they pulled out all the stops. They just played and Jamie just sang what was on their hearts. This is such a solid album. A classic and often played in my collection. Don't miss this. The music is very good and the vocals are tight. I love Jamie's voice. I miss the '80s and '90s rock.

Guardian is so classic! They Always had fun. You can hear the high energy and sheer talent of these guys. I have always appreciated Guardian, both live and on albums like this! Very tight and soulful. Give this disc a spin and just try to sit still! Thank you Gaurdain for all the years...Peace of Christ. gua

This is the best Guardian and highly possibly the best arena rock album ever made. Jamie brings back memories of Jon Bon Jovi in the 80's on this record and Tony simply is the best guitar player I can think of. Songs like 'Power Of Love', 'Forever And A Day', 'Time Stands Still', 'Time and Time Again', 'The Rain', and 'Never Say Goodbye' are so catchy and the lyrics are so good that you will find them often stuck in your head throughout the day. I will never regret buying this CD

I agree, this is one of their best albums. I remember listening to this when it seemed nobody else was into the album yet. Yes, comparable to Bon Jovi. Arena rock/metal, heavy hair band metal, whatever you wanna call it...it rocks!!! kevensyle@netscape.net

One of the only records in history of all music where EVERY song is a good one. Usually on every record, even ones I love, there is a song or two that is either 'just okay' or worse. I cannot say this about this CD. Not that every song is a hit, but every song is a great song, start to finish. And I think it sounded very fresh when it hit the scene in Christian metal back in 1990. I think their Buzz record was just a little better, but both that one and Fire and Love are albums not to be missed!

New producer, new label, new drummer, new singer, and a new sound. The result? A booming success! 'First Watch' is still my favorite, but I can't help loving the energy and fun vibe of this album--and Jamie's raspy, 'attitude' vocals only add to the greatness of it. I saw Guardian twice (with Jamie). A great band to watch 'live,' and 'Fire And Love' is a very strong effort for the 'new' Guardian. 9/10.

A little commercial for my taste, but good for what it is. Jamie Rowe's vocal kicks tail! Definitely for the commercial metal crowd though.

I love this CD! Over the years it hasn't grown old either. It still rocks. Jamie Rowe's vox mixed with Palacios' killer guitar work just floors me. One of those few CDs I can just lose myself in. 'Fire & Love' is melodic metal at it's finest.

This is a great cd. Personally think this is their best album, every song is great. Time Stands Still is my favorite.

In my opinion, the BEST Guardian album.

An absolute classic! Sadly, one of the very few truly great albums Guardian have released. Like many people, I think they lost their way a bit after the first 3 or 4 efforts [trying to change their sound to 'fit in']. Everything about this one, though, is close to perfection. Of course, it's all relative. People who prefer a modern rock sound would say that the band simply modified their approach here to fit in with the arena rock sound! Anyway - it's all for God's Glory!

I have bought many christian music cd's over the years including Bride, Whitecross, and many others. I still find myself putting this one on in my car and cranking it up far more than any other cd I own. There is not a weak spot on this cd. I always hear of Guardian being compared to Bon Jovi, but I let a friend borrow the cd and he mentioned something that I agreed was a better comparison. Jamie sounds alot like Tesla (only better). You don't want to miss this one!
