2nd Avenue, featuring the smash hit 'Pray,' was Idle Cure at their best. Melodic rock, with just enough grit in Shannon's voice to differentiate it from Petra. 'Contend For the Faith' is one of the best rock ballads I've ever heard. A must-own for any fan of the group.

Like I have said before, This sounds like KISS with Paul Stanly doing all the lead vocals. Steve is super sharp on his vocal style and the band really rocks.

This album has been a favorite of mine for years. Thanks guys for keeping it real and solid. The song 'Pray' kicks! It gets my blood flowin' every time I hear it.

This was a great record. I really liked Human Solution, Talk It Out and Don't Turn Away (which still chokes me up despite it being a very hard rock tune). Great rock record.

All of the slick hooks of 'Bon Jovi' and 'Def Leppard' except they had one too many ballads. That was the sound they were going for,so I understand.I just wish 'Breakaway' was on this album instead of 'Contend for Faith' but that's just me.I still consider this one of the better arena style Christian albums.

Annointed music for sure- these guys rock and the music is spiritually bold- 'Pray' and 'Contend For the Faith' highlight this great album

Another great album from a great band. The music that play Idle cure are great, very melodic. Pray, Talk It Out, Don' Turn Away, If You Mean It and Dead or Alive the best songs.

Talk It Out is one of the most original songs I have ever heard. The guitars and vocal performances hit their peak for Idle Cure on this album. Does anybody 'growl' any better than Steve Shannon on this record? He sounds like Ronnie James Dio on If You Mean It. The writing is incredible here. My favorite I.C. offering.
