I can't believe this album is even on this site. I thought I was the only one who knew of these guys...j/k. This was a great hard rock/metal album. Cool production and fun to listen to. It has a good classic hard rock sound that's great to crank up. Beat The Heat!!! kevensyle@netscape.net

I used to have this cd (it wasn't bad) but I traded it in. I live in Johnson City, TN (about 15 minutes from Kingsport, TN)& remember these guys but did not get to see them live. I wonder what they are up to now.

Very good album with good rock songs like Blown Away, I Kill Devils, Blood of Love and Sledgehammer but personally the highlight on the album is the pop/rock song Absolute Perfection. Great vocals too.

I managed a CCM station in Kingsport when Lex Rex was at the top of their game. Tony Vines was a good friend. They could really roch the flock.

Most of these guys had a band called Warrior in the mid 80s. They eventually morphed into Lex Rex (which was a little heavier than Warrior). I saw Warrior in concert several times and they always rocked the place. Also, Harv and Tom were DJ's on the local Christian Rock station (WPRQ, Powertrax) in Kingsport. Harv was called Harvey the disc minister, and Tom was Thomas the believer. Great times!

I grew up in Kingsport, and loved this album. I saw them perform at the church off of I-26, it was great!

One of my biggest influences as a kid. I started playing guitar when I was 12 and my first teacher was Tom Brock. I went to church with them and saw Harvey and Tom many times as Warrior. Harvey played drums then and Tom played an acoustic running through distortion. They did some Elvis remakes with christian lyrics that were cool. Then they added Curt on bass and Tony on drums. Brings back good memories.

Wow, I knew these guys back when we were attending the same church. I found the bands name on several websites. Heavy metal sites mostly. I loved them. Even Opened for them at one of their concerts at the same church when they did them for free. Some of you might remember that or were there.

First heard Lex Rex when I was working in a Christian Bookshop in Palmerston North, New Zealand in 1990. They struck me as being quite unique right down to the album cover in a style that I refer to as "Blue Metal". Their song "My Lord" is a piece of acoustic blues rock genius!
