Excelent guitar work & of course fantastic vocals, not to mention the rest of the band

I find this to be an interesting record, but not an altogether great one. There are some standout tracks like Livin For My Lord, Never Give Up, Straight Between The Eyes, Armageddon, and Take 'Em Back. But there are a number of other kinda weird songs on here like Bouree in E Minor, Music Box and All The Things You Are. Esp. that last one. I'm not into jazz, so doing a long jazz intro before you get to the guitars is dumb. A good CD, but not a must-have.

A perfect example of reviewing an album before I really digested it. This is a TERRIFIC record. I'm still not too keen on the jazzy last song, but the rest of this record just plain rocks!! Scott Van Zen is incredible! I wish we knew what he was doing today (musically). This is a great CD, a must-have!!

This is a very good cd. I have this one and the album call Tamplim and personally this is a better album with very good melodies. My favorite songs are Never Give Up, Not Alone, Straight Between the Eyes, Holdin' On and the superlative Take 'Em Back.
