One of my all time favorite CDs. This CD mixes thrash and speed metal with Tourniquet's unique sound. 'A Dog's Breakfast' has one of the coolest riffs ever. 'Broken Chromosomes' is just plain cool. I'm not sure why I love this song so much, perhaps it's the cool vocals, or the awesome drumming and guitar playing. 'Spineless' is a rap-metal song that features P.I.D. 1991! Before rap-metal was cool! This entire album is one of the best power thrash discs ever. www.nolifetilmetal.com/tourniquet.htm

Tourniquet is my favorite metal band because of there Bach/Betoveen melodic riffs, very fast and clean guitars, drums, bass and vocals. Gary Lenaire is one of the hottest guitarists on this planet. I agree with Scott that they used the rap/metal sound in one of there tunes and it jammed. I'm not much into the full rap sound but when they added a little into that tune it was cool.

The songs are better written and played than on the debut album. Well, except for the piece of 90's kitch known as Spineless. They tried to mix a little hip hop and it does not work. Funny thing, the non hip hop parts are pretty good. A mini masterpiece addressing societies treatment of the retarted in 'Broken Chromosomes.' This is a good record and worth purchasing for the artwork alone! Crisp crunchy guitars, a Tourniquet staple for many albums and blistering vocals.
